Police are looking for a suspect after a variety store clerk was robbed by a man pointing what appeared to be a handgun on Friday at about 9:45 p. m.
A man entered the variety store on Speedvale Avenue East and demanded money as he walked behind the counter, said a police news release. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.
The clerk wasn’t injured.
The man is described as white, 5’10” to 6’, 20 to 25 years old, with short blond/brown hair, said the release.
He was wearing a black T-shirt, navy or black basketball-style shorts with a two-inch white band on the bottom, white running shoes with black sections on the toes and black gloves.
