The opening reception for a new exhibit of art inspired by the Middle Ages is held at the Guelph Civic Museum on Wednesday, April 22 from 7 to 9 p. m.
The exhibit opens on Thursday, April 23 and features miniature paintings by Debbie Thompson Wilson, Nancy Alberton, Janet Ollers and blacksmithed metalwork by Graeme Sheffield, said a news release.
Illuminating the Middle Ages continues until July 5. Thompson Wilson, Alberton and Ollers have been painting miniatures together for about five years, said the release.
The three local artists are all graduates of the University of Guelph.
Sheffield is a self-trained artisan blacksmith and has been working with metal for 20 years.
