Action Read programs begin

Start Family Literacy Programs, as well as a Kindergarten Readiness Program in Guelph are ready to roll out.
Beginning the week of Sept. 8, the Early Literacy programs will support pre-literacy the fun way. This session is open to parents or caregivers with children up to six-years-old.
The following is the schedule and locations for the Early Start Family Literacy program:
Mondays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Parkwood Gardens Neighbourhood Group Room at the West End Community Centre on 21 Imperial Rd.
Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. at Brant Avenue School Community Room at the public school on 64 Brant Ave.
Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Auden Road Non-profit Housing Community Room at 394 Auden Rd.
Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m. in room 5 at F.A. Hamilton Public School on 160 Ironwood Rd.
The Kindergarten Readiness Program works to teach children skills required for kindergarten. This program is meant for kids aged three to five with a parent or caregiver attending as well. The Kindergarten Readiness Program runs Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Auden Road Non-profit Housing Community Room at 394 Auden Rd.
