Guelph resident Pamela Niesiobedzki-Curtis was honoured as Best Director in a Comedy when the Association of Community Theatres for Central Ontario held its annual gala awards night on April 5. Going Postal, the play she directed for Georgetown Little Theatre, received 11 award nominations and won four awards, including hers, a news release said. The gala was held in Vaughn. Next season, Niesiobedzki-Curtis will direct a Guelph Little Theatre production of The Black Bonspiel of Wullie Maccrimmon, which will be GLT’s entry in the Western Ontario Drama League’s annual competition. The Association of Community Theatres – Central Ontario is made up of community theatre companies across the Greater Toronto Area, including the Georgetown area.
