Birds of a feather

Artist Ted Fullerton has a look at one of his sculptures shortly after it was installed downtown on Monday. The piece is part of a four-sculpture installation commissioned by the city to help unify the areas around city hall, Market Square, Guelph Central Station and the Guelph Farmers’ Market. “I don’t think of them as four separate sculptures; I see it as one installation,” said Fullerton of the project, which features yellow birds as the unifying element. The sculptures include Birds of a Feather (above), A Bird in Hand, Bird/Watching, and Perch (at left). The total budget for the project was $150,000.
