Circus Academy hosts open house

The Guelph branch of The Circus Academy is opening its doors to the public on Friday to give kids a chance to try some high-flying fun this PD day.
The academy, which operates at St. George’s church on Woolwich Street, offers a unique after-school program, adult classes, March break and summer camps, and even does birthday parties.
The after-school program, which started last September, runs from 4 to 6 p.m., a news release said.
It teaches kids ages five to 13 how to juggle, ride unicycle, do floor acrobatics, mini trampoline, aerial trapeze, clowning and more.
Each session ends with a performance that the children prepare for parents and friends, the release said.
The March Break camp will run in Guelph for the first time this year, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.
In addition to the activities offered in the after-school program, children in the camps will also get outdoor play and will help to make circus props.
