Guelph architect Bill Birdsell has been named 2013 president of the Ontario Association of Architects.
Birdsell is the principal of J. William Birdsell Architect, a full-service architectural firm in Guelph with a portfolio spanning a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial and institutional, a news release said.
“Architects are innovators, city builders and progressive agents for change,” Birdsell  said in the release.
Birdsell is particularly passionate about the environmental impact of buildings, it said.
The association has about 5,000 members.
