It took Guelph’s Nick Brough about 80 hours to build this colourful igloo in his south end yard from about 380 blocks of coloured ice, but he had some help. Friends Brian Lichty and Frank Boyles, Brough’s brothers Sam and Ben, and his sons Liam and Ryan all took part in the process over the month of January. The project was inspired by pictures Lichty found online of a coloured igloo built by a New Zealander for his girlfriend in Edmonton. But Brough’s is bigger – six feet high inside, so people can stand, and about nine feet across. People can check out the process online in a YouTube video the guys made at youtu.be/roZ-5f1eH14.
