Distress line training offered in February

Community Torchlight Wellington Dufferin is in need of volunteers to staff its round-the-clock Distress Line.
Volunteers need to be able to provide compassionate listening and reflective responses to callers looking for support with everyday experiences and life challenges, from relationships to bullying to anxiety and stress, a news release said.
The volunteers provide regular outgoing calls to registered individuals, and provide information about additional community resources and supports, it said.
The next training is scheduled for February.
Those interested in volunteering are asked to contact Judith Rosenberg at 519-821-3761 or jrosenberg@communitytorchlight.com.
