French school to get daycare

Guelph’s French-language public school, the L’Odyssée elementary school on Brighton Street, will get a daycare centre in September.
It will be the first one in the school, after years of efforts to find a care provider, a news release said. A before-and-after school program will also be offered for students of the school.
Registration is already underway, with enrolment limited to 10 places for toddlers (18 months to 29 months), 16 places for preschool kids (30 months to four years), 20 places for four- to five-year-olds, and 30 places for six- to 12-year-olds. For more details, contact Nicole Ligwagwa, director of the daycare center Les Étoiles Brillantes, at 647-832-5728 or by email at:
L’Odyssée school is part of the Conseil scolaire Viamonde, a French public school board.
