Fun slo-pitch game supports food bank

The second annual Help Strike Out Hunger slopitch game takes place Saturday Aug. 23.

The game, put on by the Guelph Coed Slopitch league, benefits the Guelph Food Bank.

Among players taking part in the for-fun game are Guelph councillors, representatives from the Guelph Food Bank, the Guelph Curling Club and Shake True Hoops.

The game takes place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Exhibition Park, and people are asked to bring a non-perishable item to the park for the Guelph Food Bank.
