The Guelph Gators finished sixth overall out of 16 teams at the national midget fastpitch championships which concluded on Sunday in Brampton.
The Gators’ tournament ended with a 2-1 loss to the White Rock Renegades, the eventual gold medalists.
The Manitoba Angels won silver and the Mississauga North Tigers won bronze.
On Friday night, the Gators, who won the provincial title right here in Guelph, topped host Brampton 3-2 in extra innings.
The locals finished the tournament with a 6-3 record.
