Hope for Haiti

University of Guelph counsellor and therapist Kathy Waltner-Toews offers support to a crowd of about 20 community members during a vigil last Friday for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti. The university is supporting Haitian disaster relief efforts through donations to Doctors Without Borders and Free the Children.

The locals went 2-0 at home on the weekend to improve to 7-1 on their home court. Guelph beat Laurier 3-2 and Waterloo 3-0 in the matches. Against Laurier, Kylen Van Osch had 22 points and Melissa McGinn had 49 assists. Against Waterloo, Claire Sandor recorded 16 points. Guelph (10-4) is at Western (10-4) Saturday and Windsor (1-13) Sunday.
