A little fall of rain didn’t stop the volunteers and golfers from coming out and helping the Guelph Public Library meet its fundraising goal in its first fundraising golf tournament.
The inaugural Library Links Golf Classic, held Sept. 14 at Victoria Park East Golf Club, brought in close to $10,000 toward furnishings, fixtures and equipment for a future new main library branch, a news release said.
Golfers braved wet weather and windy conditions to show their support in what organizers hope will become an annual event.
