Another series of free workshops meant to help people who have to, or choose to, live a simpler lifestyle is set to begin Monday.
Living On Less is a seven-week program that helps people live on a lower income and reduce their environmental footprint, a news release said.
The fall program will be offered weekly at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church, 86 Glasgow St. N., from Oct. 15 to Nov. 26. It begins with refreshments at 9:30 a.m., with the program running from 10 a.m. to noon.
Participants will develop their own spending plan and will live on less with confidence, the release said.
Topics to be addressed include managing your money, living within your financial and environmental means, eating on much less, keeping healthy, finding housing, employment and transportation, and creative gift giving. Limited space is also available in a free childcare program. Participants are asked to pre-register by emailing livingonless@sjapostle.ca or calling 519-824-7910.
The program has been running since 2009 and is currently co-sponsored by Zellers/HBC, the Zonta Club of Guelph, the Anglican Diocese of Niagara and St. James church.
