The Guelph Civic League will be finding out all about who does what at city hall during its annual general meeting on Jan. 30.
Mayor Karen Farbridge will be presenting on the topic of “Local Government – who does what?” at the meeting, taking place at 7 p.m. at 10 Carden St. The event is free and open to the public.
Two community engagement co-ordinators for the city, Rodrigo Goller and Kelly Guthrie, will also be on hand to discuss the city’s Community Engagement Framework, a news release said.
The framework aims to provide municipal decision-makers and the community with a consistent and genuine approach to community engagement, it said.
The presentations are meant to help local citizens understand how their government works and how to get involved.
“It’s all about knowledge – knowing where and when to get engaged in the process, who to talk to and how to make an impact,” Guelph Civic League president Dave Sills said in the release.
