Naturalists view An Island Apart

“An Island Apart: The Stunning and Bizarre Wildlife of Madagascar,” will be the topic of the next monthly meeting of the Guelph Field Naturalists on Jan. 10 at the Arboretum Centre.
Separated from mainland African by hundreds of miles for millions of years, Madagascar is home to some of the strangest creatures on Earth, a news release said. It is also home to countless species that can be seen nowhere else in the world, it said.
During the 7:30 p.m. meeting, the field naturalists’ Kyle Horner will take people on a journey through the highlands of Madagascar and highlight a selection of its strange wildlife with original photos.
The meeting is open to all, and admission is by suggested donation.
