University of Guelph professor Michael Dixon opens a brightly lit chamber to give kids a glimpse of some of the research happening at the Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility. The facility, commonly referred to as the space lab, focuses on research related to growing plants in space. Two groups of youth were treated to tours of the facility on Saturday afternoon as part of the FarmSmart Agricultural Conference’s youth program. The youngsters also got the chance to tour the Ontario Veterinary College as part of the event.
