Maggie Smart was one of the Victory students who were busy Tuesday morning working on pictures to be offered for sale to the public at a variety of downtown venues on the second weekend of May, with proceeds going to charity. The school’s first Art Crawl last year raised close to $3,000, with people buying paintings on a “pay-what-you-want” basis, said parent organizer Simone Jean. The different grades base their paintings on different artists, and Maggie and her fellow Grade 6 students were modelling theirs on the late U.S. modernist artist Joseph Cornell.
