Peace of Mind Walk goes on Sunday

The Schizophrenia Society of Ontario’s annual Peace of Minds Walk comes to Guelph on Sunday May 25.
The walk will see families, friends and supporters come together to raise awareness and funds to help individuals and families affected by schizophrenia and psychosis. “More than a fundraiser, this event is about getting out into the public space and making people aware of schizophrenia and psychosis,” society CEO Mary Alberti said in a news release. “Too often people with schizophrenia are discriminated against – or ignored. This walk lets people know that mental illness affects us all in some way.”
The walk will take place at beginning at the Evergreen Seniors Centre, 683 Woolwich St., at 2:30 p.m.
