The Township of Puslinch will soon be looking for someone to replace a veteran employee who’s responsible for the township’s administration and finance functions.
CAO/Clerk-Treasurer Brenda Law, who was hired in 1977, tendered her resignation last week. She will officially end her career at the township on Dec. 31.
Law, who is retiring, has worked with four reeves or mayors and with 13 township councils, a news release said.
“On behalf of township council and staff, I would like to thank Brenda for 35 years of outstanding municipal service,” Mayor Dennis Lever said in the release. “Her knowledge, professionalism and experience will be missed at the township.”
The township will begin the hiring process for her replacement this fall.
“It’s been a privilege to work with council and staff over the past 35 years,” Law said in the release. “Together we have worked hard to make Puslinch a great place to live and do business. It was a difficult decision to leave, but I am looking forward to my retirement.”
