The 34th annual Norm Jary ARC Industries Golf Tournament, played Monday July 11 at Cutten Fields, brought in more than $20,000 for Community Living programs and capital projects to improve the quality of life for the intellectually challenged in Guelph and Wellington County.
The team of John Lago, Peter Lago, Steve Mauthe and Graziano Saluri took first place in the charity event, but ARC Industries and Community Living Guelph Wellington really came out on top, with between $22,000 and $25,000 raised this year, bringing the total to more than $600,000 in the tournament’s history.
“The bottom line for me with this golf tournament is that we aren’t giving a hand out, but a hand up to some great citizens.,” said former Guelph mayor Norm Jary, in an email following the tournament.
