The Rotary Club of Guelph-Trillium is turning Riverside Park into ‘Ribberside Park’ from Aug. 22 to 24 for Ribfest.
There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family, and of course lots and lots of ribs all weekend long.
In the kids area there will be interactive fitness, rides, games, face painting, Guelph library’s bookmobile, karate demonstrations, zumba and more.
Classic cars will be on display Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
There is a small fee to enter the classic cars competition, and no prior registration is required. The entry fee includes a ticket for a 50/50 draw.
Winners of the 50/50 draw and car show competition will be announced Saturday and Sunday, with judging taking place both days.
This family-friendly event will have a Bavarian tent, marketplace and live music all weekend long.
On Friday, Sandy MacDonald, the Retrievers, After the Lounge and The Kramdens will perform.
Saturday’s set list includes bands such as the Fleetwood Nicks, Tokyo Giants and the Practically Hip.
On Sunday, the BlackWater Trio, Kenny Munshaw, Kerosene Creek, as well as Matt Storch and the Usual Suspects take the stage.
Ribfest runs rain or shine and will have limited parking inside the park. Organizers recommend parking on the north end, off of Woodlawn Road.
No bikes or pets will be allowed inside the park to keep things clean.
Entry is free, though donations are accepted.
