Talk explores great gardens of Scotland

The local branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario will feature a public talk on Great Gardens of Scotland following its annual general meeting on April 16.
Guest speaker landscape architect Jessica Tivy will give a talk that spans 500 years of Scottish landscape design, a news release said.
Her presentation will feature many beautiful slides and a discussion of the historical highlights of the sites, from palatial perennial borders to urban pocket gardens, it said.
Tivy is a certified arborist, specializing in cultural landscape assessment and designing open space. She recently returned from six months in Scotland.
The free meeting takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Schoolhouse, 611 Silvercreek Pkwy. N. For more information, contact Susan Ratcliffe at 519-822-8236 or
