Theology on tap on Tuesday

Catholic theologian Josie Lombardi will be the featured speaker at the next in a series of local gatherings for reflection and celebration at the Albion Hotel called Theology on Tap.
Lombardi, who teaches at St. Augustine’s College at the University of Toronto, will be at the Albion on Feb. 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. to address the question of how self-knowledge affects people’s lives and spirituality, a news release said.
The questions she will address include: “What are out truest desires? What are our weaknesses? Are we hurting, and if so, why? What truly gives us happiness? And how do we discover love and how can we live our lives guided by it?”
Local Celtic band The House of Good Cheer will kick-start the evening with musical entertainment, and appetizers will be served courtesy of the Knights of Columbus, the release said. Lombardi’s talk will run for about 30 minutes, with discussion and social activities to follow, it said.
The evening is the third in the series, which is organized by a group of Catholics from various parishes and groups in Guelph and sponsored by the Diocese of Hamilton and the Wellington Catholic District School Board. All are welcome.
