Tytler school group launches into season of activities

Tytler Public School may be closed to students but the Two Rivers Neighbourhood Group is keeping the place animated with a long list of activities happening there this spring.
The group is kicking off its summer camp registration at the school with a Clothing Swap and Kids Craft Fair on May 10 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The event will be the third annual clothing swap, and the neighbourhood group is getting ready with a pre-sort and folding party that continues today (May 8) from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., with volunteers getting first dibs on donated clothes. The group is also looking for any kids who might want to try selling some of their crafty wares at the event.
The activities continue with a mapping workshop on May 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the school. People are invited to join in creating a large-scale map of the Ward, painted on the asphalt outside of the school.
On June 3 and 10, the neighbourhood group will host a printmaking workshop at the school from 6 to 8 p.m. for people ages 13 and up. Participants are asked to commit to both sessions and sign up in advance, as space is limited.
The neighbourhood group is also planning for a community dinner on June 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Guests are asked to bring their own plates, glasses and cutlery as well as a side dish to share.
