Website helps students find off-campus housing in Guelph

University of Guelph students on the hunt for places to live off campus, now have a new website to check out.
The university has partnered with Places4Students.com, a company specializing in off-campus housing solutions for academic institutions, to offer an online listing service to landlords and students.
The website has replaced the university’s previous housing service, and provides many new features and improved offerings, a news release said. “We are excited about the Places4Students.com launch with Off-Campus Living at the University of Guelph,” Off-Campus Living manager Kathryn Hofer said in the release. “As a dedicated service for off-campus housing, Places4Students offers a high caliber website and service that is easily accessible to U of G students and landlords for rental listing, sublets and roommate profiles.”
Student services, including rental property searches, sublet postings and roommate profile listings, are free. Students can view up-to-date rental property listings and search for roommates online 24/7.
Listings include a map showing the property’s proximity to the university, amenity icons, up to 24 photos, floor plans, leasing details and property descriptions.
Landlords and property managers can use the site to advertise properties directly to the U of G community. There is a fee for the service. For information, call 1-866-766-0767.
The university’s old rental listing site is available as a tool for landlords to access information from their old listings. They can link to the site from bit.ly/1oXOvWY.
