Action Read Community Literacy Centre is once again providing a free short-term computer training program, called Employment Track Express, targeted at workers or laid-off workers who may be faced with a job loss or who are considering a change in employment. The program is a 60-hour course that teaches the basics of using a computer, including the Internet, using MS word and e-mail. It also offers an essential skills assessment, job preparation and job search skills, a news release said.
The course is being delivered by experienced computer instructor Dushan Grunstein and will run mornings, Tuesdays to Fridays, from April 27 to May 20. Enrollment is limited to 12 participants. For information on the current Employment Track Express computer training course or to inquire about future course dates, call Action Read at 519-836-2759 or visit 2 Quebec St., Ste. 220.
