
Ex-Gryph greats take on current squad tonight

Former Guelph Gryphon basketball greats return to the W. F. Mitchell Athletics Centre tonight when the Guelph Phoenix men’s basketball team takes on the University of Guelph Gryphons as the Gryphs continue their pre-season.
The men’s Phoenix team includes former Gryphons Kyle Julius, Koven Padayachee and Rhadi Knapp.
The squad also includes Guelph native Mike King, who is an assistant coach for the Gryphons and a former NCAA cager with the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
The Gryphons, 5-1 in the pre-season, are coming off a 74-64 loss to Humber. Tip-off tonight is at 7 p. m.
The Gryphons open their OUA schedule Nov. 6 when they host Carleton at 8 p. m.
