
The torch relay will pass through the city starting at about 7:30 a. m. on Paisley Road near Glengary Street.
The procession will travel east on Paisley, carry on at Quebec Street and then head south on Wyndham Street to Macdonell Street.
From there the relay will go west on Macdonell, south on Wilson Street and east on Carden Street past city hall. Mayor Karen Farbridge and MPs Frank Valeriote and Michael Chong will be on hand out front of city hall to greet the torch and say a few words shortly before 8 a. m.
Once connected with Wyndham, the event exits Guelph by way of Eramosa Road. It will reach the outskirts of Guelph around 8:30 a. m. For a detailed map of the route, visit guelph.ca .
The many local torch bearers will be followed on the route by torch bearer shuttles, media vehicles, relay support vehicles and police cruisers, said a news release.
