The Guelph Ringette Association hosts its 30th annual tournament this weekend, with action taking place at rinks around the city on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Seventy-one teams are taking part. The theme of the tournament is “Celebrating our Officials” to recognize the importance of the association’s on-ice officials.

The Gryphons track and field team swept men’s and women’s titles at the McGill Team Challenge.
Guelph native Dustin Gamble broke the school record in the men’s 600m (1:18.85), ranking him second in the CIS.
On the women’s side, Rachel Cliff (Vancouver) won gold in the 1,500m and 3,000m, ranking her first in the country in each event. Her time of 9:28.79 in the 3,000m ranked her second all-time in Gryphon history.
Cliff was named OUA female athlete of the week.
