Several local swimmers are among those vying for success for the Guelph Gryphons at this weekend’s OUA swimming championships at Brock University.
Second-year swimmer Andrew Ford of Guelph is coming off a recent win in the 400m I. M. at the Canada Cup.
Gryphon captain Scott Van Doormaal of Guelph is determined to race, said a news release, after recovering from recent ankle surgery. He’s a four-time OUA all-star.
On the women’s side, rookie Gryphon Bethany Flemington of Puslinch is expected to challenge for a medal in the 50m and 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke, said the release.
