Bus passenger injured

Guelph Transit is conducting an investigation after a passenger was injured while travelling on the Community Bus on Wednesday afternoon.
While travelling in the city’s north end, the Guelph Transit Community Bus – sometimes called the “mobility bus” – was driven over an uneven patch of pavement. As a result, the van rocked and a passenger fell to the floor, a news release said.
Paramedics were called to the scene and the passenger was taken to hospital.
“We are investigating this matter thoroughly to ensure all operating procedures were followed,” he said.
The Community Bus is a fully accessible mobility van serving north and south routes for passengers who may or may not use personal mobility devices like walkers or wheelchairs.
