Clean Air Day

City of Guelph

“Guelph Transit invites everyone to leave their cars at home and try transit for free on Clean Air Day,” said Christine Warne, Guelph Transit’s supervisor of transit business services.

Busing free on clean air Wednesday

Guelph Transit is offering free transit service all day Wednesday on national Clean Air Day – including taking the bus to advance polls for the provincial election.
In addition to offering free buses, the city is inviting commuters to learn about cleaner forms of transportation. People can stop by Guelph Central Station from 9 a.m. to noon June 4 to pick up a free transit map or cycling map, get information on cycling safety, test out on-the-bus bike racks and learn about the accessibility features on city buses, a news release said.
On Clean Air Day, people are encouraged to choose environmentally friendly travel options such as cycling, walking, car-pooling or taking public transit, the release said.
“Guelph Transit invites everyone to leave their cars at home and try transit for free on Clean Air Day,” said Christine Warne, Guelph Transit’s supervisor of transit business services.
“We are a connected community with a transit system and bike lane network designed for active and sustainable transportation,” she said in the release.
Advance poll locations for the provincial general election are open on June 4 and can be reached on Guelph Transit, the release noted. Guelph Transit maps and schedules are available online at guelphtransit.ca.
