Trustees at the Wellington Catholic District School Board have picked their chair and vice-chair for the coming year.
Marino Gazzola was chosen to return as chair, making 2014 his eleventh year as the senior elected official at the local Catholic board, a news release said.
Gazzola, who has been a trustee since 1990, is also president of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees Association.
“I am deeply committed to Catholic education in Guelph and Wellington County and in the entire province,” he said in the release.
At its Dec. 2 inaugural meeting for the coming year, the board also decided to keep Victoria Dupuis as its vice-chair.
She will continue to represent the board at many provincial and national conferences, the release said.
