Local MP Frank Valeriote handed out hardware to a long list of community members in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s 60 years on the throne.
A ceremony was held Wednesday night at the Guelph Youth Music Centre for the more than 30 local recipients of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal, which honours the monarch for her service to this country. The medals also serve to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
