Chris White back in warden’s chair

Chris White has been elected by county council to serve another year in the county’s top political job – as Wellington County Warden.
White, who is the mayor of Guelph/Eramosa Township, was re-elected as warden last Friday at county council’s annual inaugural meeting.
In addition to his mayoral duties, he has been a member of the Rural Ontario Municipal Association’s board since 2004 and was its chair for 2007-08 and 2010-11. As chair of ROMA, White was also on the executive of the Association of the Municipalities of Ontario and chair of the OMA’s rural caucus.
“It’s a great honour to continue to serve as Wellington County Warden for 2013-14,” White said in the release.
“I look forward to continuing the impressive work of county council and working collaboratively with the City of Guelph and the government of Ontario on key issues that county residents are facing.”
