Guelph’s long-awaited Costco store is finally opening its doors.
The membership-based warehouse store, famous for selling items in super-sized quantities, will hold its grand opening on Friday July 25 at 8 a.m.
The store was originally supposed to be open for the Christmas shopping season in 2013, but weather interfered with the construction process.
The store, located at 19 Elmira Rd. in the city’s west end, will feature fresh meat and bakery sections, an optometrist, a pharmacy, a photo centre and more. People can also fill up their cars at the new Costco gas station.
The grand opening will be a preceded by a pre-opening celebration, by invitation only, on July 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the store.
