County mini-grants available

The Centre Wellington Community Foundation is launching its third Mini-Grant program with grants of up to $1,000 available for charities working in Centre Wellington.
“Our third round of mini-grants shows that CWCF is growing along with our community,” board chair Randall Howard said in a news release.
“It is thanks to hundreds of donors that have given funds to the foundation that we have the capacity to again be giving this money to organizations in our community doing great things.”
The grants can be used by local registered non-profits to support operational or project costs. All applicants must be a registered charity or be partnered with an organization that has charitable status, the release said.
Applications are due April 25, and there will be an information session April 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the Veterans Hall at the township offices in Elora for those interested in applying. There will also be a session for organizations in need of a charitable partner to explore how the township could potentially be a co-applicant, the release said.
Full applications details can be found online at Grant recipients will be announced in June.
