Education minister receives her diploma

Education minister and local MPP Liz Sandals finally has her high school diploma.
Sandals, a one-time student of Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute, left the school before graduation to begin the spring semester at the University of Guelph.
Sandals, who during her high school years was still named MacNaughton, received an equivalency diploma, but did not get her secondary school diploma from Guelph CVI – until she attended the school’s 160th anniversary event last weekend.
At the reunion, local public school board director of education Martha Rogers presented Sandals with her honours secondary school diploma.
