GO Transit tinkers with fall schedule

Some minor changes to GO Transit schedules, which go into effect Aug. 30, could affect Guelph passengers.

When it comes to buses, bus trips typically serving schools between Guelph and Mississauga will be reinstated for the school year.

On the No. 30/31 Kitchener GO bus line, the weekday eastbound trip from the University of Guelph at 5:10 a.m. will leave two minutes earlier, at 5:08 a.m.

On the No. 33/39 Kitchener line, the weekday eastbound trip from the University of Guelph at 5:56 a.m. will depart one minute earlier, at 5:55 a.m.

The weekday eastbound trip from Guelph Central Station at 8:20 a.m. will also depart one minute earlier, at 8:19 a.m.

On the train line, which runs between Kitchener and Toronto’s Union Station, some schedule times have been adjusted to reflect actual travel times, said a GO Transit update. This means some earlier departures.

The weekday eastbound trips from Kitchener at 5:49 and 7:07 a.m. will now depart five minutes earlier, at 5:44 and 7:02 a.m. That means five- minutes-earlier departure times from the Guelph Central Station platform, too, at 6:08 and 7:26 a.m.

On the return trips from Toronto, trains that leave Union Station at 4:45 and 5:45 p.m. will arrive in Guelph two minutes later at 6:20 and 7:23 p.m. Their arrival times in Kitchener are also expected to be two minutes later.
