High school lockdown after knife threat
John F. Ross CVI went into lockdown on Friday afternoon after a student was threatened with a weapon.
Police received a report at 2 p. m. that a male had entered the school with a what appeared to be a knife, intending to steal from a student. The suspect had already fled the school when police arrived, a news release said. The school was locked down as a precaution to protect other students.
The suspect was located a short distance away and arrested.
