Justin Trudeau in Guelph on Feb. 7

Liberal leadership hopeful Justin Trudeau is coming to Guelph to drum up support.
Trudeau will be at the Delta Hotel and Conference Centre, 50 Stone Rd. W., on Thursday Feb. 7 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. to meet members of the local community and share his vision for Canada, a news release said.
Trudeau, who was a teacher before entering politics, was first elected to Parliament in Montreal in 2008. He served as chair of Katimavik, Canada’s national youth service program, from 2002 to 2006, and as MP he has served as citizenship and immigration critic and post-secondary education critic.
For the first time in Canadian history, a political party is inviting non-party members to take part in electing its new leader, the release said. As long as you are not a member of another political party, you can register for free as a supporter of the Liberal Party of Canada to vote, it said. To sign up, visit Justin.ca.
