Area residents are invited to a Labour Day picnic in the park.
The Guelph and District Labour Council will be hosting the annual Labour Day Picnic at the Red Pavilion in Riverside Park on Sept. 5, a news release said.
The festivities, including rides, games, face painting and food, will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Live performances by Ian Reid, Scott McWinnie and the Colin Kirley Band are also planned.
Donations for the Chalmers Food Pantry and the CSA Food Bank will be accepted.
