Local rink reaches final at provincials

The Guelph Curling Club rink skipped by Clancy Grandy reached the finals of the junior women’s provincial curling championship this week before falling 8-4.

The local team went 5-2 in round robin play at the championships in Teeswater and they would go on to reach the finals. In the championship, they lost 8-4 to the Ottawa Curling Club team skipped by Rachel Homan.

Grandy is a Burlington native who is attending the University of Guelph. Her teammates are Jackie Rivington, Sarah Wilkes and Deb Bentley.
