Police are putting the call out to local people who have recently had bikes stolen, after about 20 bicycles were seized from a home on Paisley Street.
Police went to the residence Thursday at 4:45 p.m. for a medical call, but once inside they saw several stolen bicycles as well as various bike parts and tires, a news release said. It is believed that some of the roughly 20 bikes they found had not even been reported stolen yet, it said.
A 30-year-old Guelph man and a 22-year-old Guelph woman were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.
Anyone who had a bicycle stolen in the recent past is urged to contact the Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212, ext. 7241.
