Meeting eyes city’s future water supply

The city will hold an open house Tuesday evening to get public feedback to its plans for ensuring Guelph’s water supply over the next 25 years.
People can drop by any time during the 6-8:30 p.m. April 29 gathering at city hall to learn more about the city’s water supply master plan update, a news release said. A short presentation on progress to date will begin at 7 p.m., and it will be followed by a formal question-and-answer session. Guelph gets its water from sources both inside and outside of city limits. City hall is inviting residents and business owners from surrounding areas, as well as from the city, to the meeting, the release said.
An estimate of how much water Guelph will need up until 2038 has been calculated, and potential water supply alternatives have been identified, it said.
To find out more about the project, visit and follow the link to the Water Supply Master Plan webpage.
