New CAO for Puslinch

Puslinch council has picked a replacement for longtime chief administrative officer Brenda Law, who ended a 35-year career with the township at the end of 2012.
After a four-month search, Puslinch council has hired Karen Landry to be the township’s new CAO/clerk, a news release said. Landry is currently the director of administration and clerk in the Town of Caledon, and she has been a municipal clerk in three different municipalities over the past 13 years. She’ll start her new job in Puslinch on March 4.
“Both her interviews and her references tell us that she is very pleasant, astute, a dedicated public servant, and a strong supporter both for council and staff,” Puslinch Mayor Dennis Lever said in the release.
Landry, who lives in Elora, has a certificate in municipal leadership from York University and a law clerk certificate from Humber College.
The township received “a large number of excellent applications,” said the release.
