Oliver, the guest of honour at the Thursday fundraiser, was also the keynote speaker at a fundraising luncheon that day and took part in an invitation-only roundtable with local business leaders entitled “A Discussion of Economic and Financial Policy with the Federal Minister of Finance.” Though many issues were raised, roundtable participants expressed particular concern about the impact of poor highway infrastructure on the costs of doing business and on consumer prices.
