Property stolen from cars recovered

Police have recovered about $500 worth of property stolen from cars in the area of Normandy Street and William Street early Friday morning.
Police were called to the area just before 6 a.m. to investigate a woman going through cars.
A witness told police the woman was walking north on Victoria Road, which is where police found her pushing a small grocery cart containing three bags of property, a news release said. She was arrested and a search of the bags revealed electronic items, cords, $26.55 in change, and various pieces of identification.
People who believe they were a victim of theft from a car in that area on Jan. 10 are being asked to contact Guelph Police at 519-824-1212.
A 22-year-old Guelph woman was charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
